The universal iconic language is designed for mobile messaging, Web-based exchanges, greeting cards, children's books, and lots more. Zlango has also built a family of powerful products enabling users to make the most of its offering in the mobile, Web and other arenas.

Bringing in individual personality and emotional expression into the mobile texting experience, Zlango is the world's first free, natively integrated, icon-based mobile messaging application. Zlango launched its first direct-to-consumer application with the introduction of two new icon themes - Urban and Gorgeous - in addition to the Classic theme, the company announced.

"We are excited to introduce the first direct-to-consumer icon-messaging service enabling users on any mobile network to send and receive exciting, emotive and colorful mobile messages as easily as they send SMS," said Roni Haim, CEO of Zlango. "Zlango's new Urban and Gorgeous themes were created to further personalize and enrich the mobile messaging experience, enabling users to visually express themselves via simple SMS-like messages."

In addition to the Classic theme it already had, Zlango has also launched its first direct-to-consumer application with the introduction of two new icon themes - Urban and Gorgeous. Each theme includes an extensive icon library within the mobile application to suit a wide range of expression preferences. These icon-based messages can easily be exchanged with friends over any mobile networks.

In December 2008, TMN, a mobile subsidiary of the Portugal Telecom (News - Alert) Group, incorporated Zlango mobile messaging service to its package.
